And, yes, those are *real* Matchless Transformers. Not Westlabs wannabe's. Not Heyboer, not Mercury, the same stuff they put in Matchless and Bad Cat and several other *premium* builders in SoCal.

:smokin: Time for bed and I have to leave town tomorrow for a few days. She'll just have to sit here for a while. Also just picked up two NOS 5V4 Rectifier tubes. 4 fresh matched JJ El84's, some JJ ECC803S and then try several EF86 until I find *the* one.

Thanks, but I still have to finish wiring up the two FX jacks and then the main power switch and standby. It's pretty close to being done though.

Hehe.... I figured out a way to shock mount the EF86 socket.

Care to share this bit of information? Parts for my AC30 are on their way and I've got an EF86 valve 1 that I'm nervous about.

I love AC-30s and I love Matchless amps, this is not a good combo indeed, especially with your impeccable workmanship on your amplifiers :smack:
