Difference but stock and aftermarket sustain blocks?

I've got a Schecter Synysters Gates Custom with a reliced floyd rose 1000 series trem and have heard that upgrading the sustain makes a large difference to the tone
What are the differences between the stock block vs tungsten or brass replacements?

It does, with locking trem systems you a solid, thick, high quality block. It affects tone, sustain, improves the feel of everything as well.

It does, with locking trem systems you want the best block you can afford. It affects tone, sustain, improves the feel of everything as well.

Any difference between brass vs tungsten vs titanium tonally?

I'm sure that Eric Johnson could give you a laundry list of tonal differences but I seriously doubt that you or I could tell a major tonal shift between the different type of metal. If I am wrong on this please correct me, this is somewhat an assumption on my part as I have never tried them in any kind of controlled environment.

That being said there is a difference in the sustain, the denser the metal, the longer the sustain.

Personally I would just get a brass block as the other materials are at least four times more expensive and I am skeptical that the difference would be even noticeable.

1000-series already has a good block, same as the German OFR blocks I believe.
You might like the big-blocks better though. I just wanted to point out that the 1000 isn't el-cheapo crap-metal.
