Floyd Rose 1000 vs Original + Fat Brass Block

I did the push in arm kit on mine too (1000 on an SE CU24 Floyd), it baffles me why FR has not made this the stock configuration, $15 and no more annoying thumbwheel coming loose every 30 seconds, EVERY Floyd user should do this!
I have been thinking of trying the brass block though which is why I'm here:)

I agree. I've replaced the arms on about half of my OFRs with the push-ins.
The 1500 series on my schecters already have them, and obviously my Ibbys all have it already.

The 1000's already have a nickel plated brass block on them. A big block would make a difference but another brass one of the same size won't change anything.

Thanks! I guess I had this confused with the block on the SE PRS trem having a steel block vs the USA bridge's brass block, I'd better make sure the fat fits first! In truth the guitar sounds fantastic as is, brings to mind though, anybody know why they nickel plate the brass?

I also added a "drop in" arm replacement. Zero slop. none.

My new push-in arm arrived. Got one from Floyd for less than $20. Total game changer, feels as precise as the PRS or EBMM, and the arm was bent to sit a lot closer to the body, much more comfortable.

Yes the difference in bend is something not often mentioned. I too prefer it over the OFR screw-in bends.
