That's very 80s! I love it. Well, everything except that bridge, functional or not, it looks bulky and clumsy! Time for a OFR... then it'd really be 80s!

I agree as well!

Hmmm, that guitar is a bit more early 90's to my eye than 80's, but still very radical! It reminds me of a cross between the Partridge Family logo and the ESP that Chris DeGarmo ESP from the early 90s.

It has that whole "Ndebele" african art thing going

I think I have the matching Swatch Watch stored up in my attic.

Funny! My very first guitar was a Guild Burnside -- my parents gave it to me as a Christmas+birthday gift when I was 13. Still have it... I'll always have it. Mine's just straight black, though. And, yes, the bridge is bolted down tight, it has a new nut, and it sports Duncans. And it actually doesn't sound half-bad.

i can't find out much about this guitar at all. all i did find out was that they were said to be made b/t 86-88 and that was it. also the bridge is a bit of a PITA since it's so bulky but at least it stays in tune now since i locked it down lol. i found a tele version of it with a cracked headstock and the extra parts i would need to finish it but the shop with it is asking more than i'd pay since this thing was free and has some damage to it anyway. i was just happy to get it playable lol.

The bridge seems like a Kahler. If so the guitar will need a lot of routing for any Floyd type bridges.

it's a kahler ripoff actually...horrible quality and it actually cracked in two places (by the front mounting screws). i think a real haler would fit it though but i'm still up in the air trying to make up my mind if i should 100% restore it or just leave it or just sell it.

The headstock on that thing looks sweet with the paint on it...reminds me of that one "anime" custom ESP Ex that they've got on their site...haha, that guitar is sweet.

Take it back to the original owner, and beat him over the head with it.......he still hasn't been punished properly for buying it. hahaha

Re: Dig out your leather pants and hairspray...now THIS is the 80's!!

it looks like one of Vernon Reids guitars from liveing color. Member that guy? he used to have some funky painted guitars. He is a good player and they had some cool songs. anyway there might be a picture of one of his guitars on the net. this guitar looks alot like a copy of one of his custom Hamers.
