Re: Digitech GNX3000 or Digitech GNX3?
If you're looking for more variety from your gear, buy some good pedals or use the cash you would spend on the Digitech stuff on upgrading gear. I own a GNX-2 and it's OK for practice etc, but not all that great for other purposes. For what it is, it's neat technology and it even sounds a little "warm" on some settings. That being said, analog is where it's at. As others said, there's a shrillness to the pedal that you can't quite dial out. The GNX-3 is a breathed on GNX-2 pretty much. Recording functions built in aren't worth much because the media is very limited in size. Tones aren't very accurate for the models it supposedly emulates (the boogie doesn't sound like a boogie and the Marshall doesn't sound like a marshall. They all sound like amps, but not like you would want them to.
