digitech whammy polarity???

Re: digitech whammy polarity???

You have the pedal and you're repairing it and you can't tell?!

i'm a tech right, when you're tired, haven't eaten all F***in' day, need lots of sleep because you have health issues affecting your sleep, have to go back to the studios TWICE tomorrow among doing other S*** in my life to fulfil my role in the household, I think it's ok to ask.

I asked a question, it's a simple one, I was on my phone having dinner.

If you don't have the answer you know what to do.

Thanks.

Re: digitech whammy polarity???

For the record there are NO polarity markings on the pedal or the PSU I have been given. Therefore I have to ask.

Back up chief...no need to get yer knickers in a bunch.

If you have the pedal open it up and trace it out...

Of course, eat first and maybe take a nap

Re: digitech whammy polarity???

Isn't the Whammy powered by an AC adapter? Polarity shouldn't matter. But at any rate, a quick search on Google should give you the answer you're looking for.

I have googled:

Digitech whammy Polarity
Digitech Whammy Pin Polarity
Digitech whammy power supply polarity....

All to no avail GAHHHAHAH

yes you could be right, i forgot AC isn't really positive or negative fussy.

basically the guy needs the pedal for a gig on saturday, he paid over the odds for a replacement power supply and it came with an adapter to plug on the end to put into the pedal. Only problem is, that is susceptible to a stray foot breaking it, which is what happened at the last show half way through a solo... :smack:

so anyway, instead of forking out another stupid amount on a PSU and having to wait ages for it to get here, I said I'll bring it home with me and do a make do and mend repair.

I can get a spare plug easy enough, It's just the polarity cause I don't want to blow this stuff up Y'know! LOL
