hello guys im bought a new guitar yamaha pacifica model it have a light alder body and rosewood fingerboard this guitar had seymour duncan custom 5 sh14 in the bridge is very bright and dont have low mids for me. i want warm ,tighter lows vocal tone like a les paul sound im play much hard rock , blues 70s and 80s which pickups have this ? thanks a lot

You can't go wrong with either of those, honestly. They have a lot of similarities with slightly rolled off highs, vocal mids, and nice, tight bottom ends.

The AT-1 cured the harshness in my Jackson Rhoads, but kept enough cut that I can still pull off screaming '80s riffs and a little VH. It has a nice attitude to it when you dig in, also. Very dynamic.

Not in the same guitar, but I've tried both and they are definitely in the same ballpark...similar output, similar top end response, etc. The midrange is where they are voiced most differently, with the AT-1 having a slight bit more scoop to it, though it feels very unfair saying that, because the AT-1 has plenty of mids and is arguably the more "balanced" of the 2.

Neither of them are straight up firebreathers in terms of output, but they're plenty hot (right where I tend to like things, anyway) and both have a good low-mids presence and a full, but not boomy, bottom end.

If you want a progressive metal sound with more midrange push and perhaps a little more "direct" feeling overall, get the Gravity Storm. If you lean more toward hard rock and hair metal, then the AT-1 is really tough to beat. With some EQ tweaking, you could probably get either one to sound like the other fairly easily.
