Dimarzio Super Distortion - 2nd clip cleans + leads

thought to try some cleans and liter leads with this pickup and amp config

im trying new ways to route stuff so its still in the workings
this song was just messing around with tone settings so i wont really keep at it.
sounds cool though.

Such a great pickup. I love how it was made decades ago but it still sounds so amazing doing modern tones.

Although I do find it tends to be a bit difficult when it comes to getting gently overdriven tones.

indeed you are right the slightly overdiven sound was hard, still dont have it but it gets closer when i cut my od boosts level to half, use the low input on the amp and backed off the contour..still wasnt perfect

Yeah I had a super distortion for many many years and the ceramic magnet never quite worked for those gentle tones that need the breathing room that alnico mags provide.

but who the hell buys a SUPER DISTORTION for non-distorted tones, really?

Much better clip this time. It's a great sounding pickup and can sound very smooth if you want it to.
