anyone know the specs of the dimarzio super distortion pickup?i know its a ceramic magnet 13.68k pickup?anyone know what guage wire its wound of?how many turns?thanks

this may not help -but I think erik mentioned that it was low turns and large ceramic magnet-vs the jb which had a smaller alnico and moire turns?
Don't know the gauge wire though-would have to be larger if less turns right?

By the way,I still prefer ceramics for now -for the attack and dynamics and sound qualities
-ie harmonics and tightness dirty and "strattiness" in clean

Side bar on it: My SuperD plus PAF neck gives me an amazing Acoustic simulation in my 73 Paul! Just blend a little SD in with that PAF and it's awesome. Chimey, lively, zingy...

I'm pretty sure it's wound with 43AWG wire. Don't know the number of turns....suffice to say however many is needed to reach 13.68k....LOL It does have a large ceramic magnet in it. The EQ is on the DiMarzio site.

i put an alnico5 in mine and it sounds AWSOME!!!!!!yeah im trying to find out if its 43awg or not..
