Im looking for any and all opinions on the dimarzio titan bridge pickup. Its replacing my sh11 custom custom in my ibanez neck thru. 5 piece walnut/maple neck w/mahog wings. i play a lot of prog/alt metal (dorje, toska, dream theater, system of a down, incubus) and djent (periphery, monuments, jason richardson, flux conduct), but i delve into other genres as well.

The Titans are one of the favorite pickup combinations of my guitar tech.
If you want some additional information, feel free contact him HERE thru PM!

I definitely believe it will be better than having a Custom Custom in the neck.

Re: Dimarzio titan opinions

RGT with titans is going to be quite compressed IMO,,,,,,,,which might not be a bad thing it just depends on the tone you're after.
Personally, I find the typical rgt-tone to be complimented very well with the standard Distortion/jazz set.
It's also a good guitar for the original blackouts (for a more open-tone) or emg 81/60 (more compressed).

i hate actives just cause batteries are annoying and the only ones ive heard that sound good are the fishmans. the distortion just doesnt seem to fit what im looking for, its basically a ceramic jb. I love it for 80s metal but it doesnt really cut it for modern prog
