Dimarzio Twang King

I have always been a Seymour Duncan guy and still am. I never liked most Dimarzio pups, but today I played an esquire style guitar w/a Dimarzio Twang King bridge pickup. WOW, It was quite possibly the best Tele sound I have ever heard or felt, and I'm a Tele guy! Have any of you had the same experience w/ the Twang King?

i have played a telecaster witha twang king neck and it was great but neve a bridge

I have owned a Twang King neck pickup and it's probably the best Tele neck pickup I have ever played....

Twang kings are great!
I've tried them both(neck & bridge) on a tele I've made, but after trying them several times I've realized that the bridge was a bit rude... so the second tele I've made I decided to put the duncan broadcaster, and the 54 neck and I found I like it more than the twang kings. Not saying they are bad, they sound nice, but the duncans worked best for me... although they were on different guitars...

I've got a set in a USACG Tele. Best Tele P/Us I've ever heard, regardless of price.

I've had the set of the TKs.

The TK neck is probably the single best tele neck pickup ive played. For $50, nothing can touch it.

The bridge is just kinda eh for me. Kidna dull.

The SD V54 and broadcaster kill it in every way, in my opinion.

Hi guys, been reading a lot of tips and tricks from this forum, so I finally decided to register. I know this is a long forgotten topic (no posts in this section for the last five years ), however I'd like to ask this: I really like the Twang King neck pickup, and I really like the sound of SD's "Hot for Tele" STL-2 pickup, so my question is, how good would these two be together on the same tele? I've read about some issues about different brands of pickups being out of phase/different colours of wires/not compatible, so enlighten me...

I have to say the exact same thing. Until I played one, I had no idea that a tele pickup could sound like that.

Welcome to the forum milosppf. These sorts of questions come up now and then. The best thing to do is start a NEW THREAD on it. By doing so you will reach a lot more people. Other wise you only reach the people that happen to see your question in the middle of another post. I am sure you will get a lot of detailed info about it in short order.
