hi, i installed a dimebucker in my alder jackson, and the level of the sound of the pickup is low, but when i use the boss metal zone, the level is the same than the 59 that i have on the neck, any ideas of whats wrong????

Re: dimebucker

Did you set the height of the pickup yet? The bridge pickup should be closer to the strings than the neck pickup.

Re: dimebucker

yes i did that, i raiesd the bridge the most, and lowered the neck the most, but got the same results

Re: dimebucker

Are the red and white wires soldered together and isolated?

Check the Dime with a multi-meter, should read about 16k.

Wire the Dime direct to jack. If it sounds good one of the other components is the problem.

Might want to check all the connections with a multi-meter for continuity. It's the only way to be sure a joint is good. Make sure all hots aren't touching ground and vice-versa.

Re: dimebucker

th red and white are isolated but not sodlered together
its necessary to solder them together?

Yes. Then tape them off so they don't short out against something.
