Thats what I was getting at.. wondering if you were gonna change anything up since you have a few Charvels now. Look forward to hearing what you think of that set. Esp how it compares to the jazz/jb. Im still looking to possibly change my pups in my Red 'vel.

Shortly I will have all different pickups in my Charvels. I already have aa AHB-1 Blackout set in one of them. Within the next couple of weeks I will have these sets installed in the others. Fishman Fluence Modern set, Dimarzio Titan set, Dimarzio D Activator set, Duncan Pegasus/Sentient set.

The Pro-Mod series uses the FR Special vibrato.

Last time I visited the FR website, it clearly stated that both the saddles and the sustain block of the FRS are "high quality" zinc. Make of this what you will.

Cool, love the simple layout too, although, ironically, lately I've been playing with my MG-122 and I've been learning to appreciate the tone knob with the JB

The new 2016's have a strat style switch, volume, and tone. Also, the thumb wheel truss rod adjustment that puts a notch near the 22'nd fret.

The 2015's that are still available have the volume and 3 way toggle switch. Regular truss rod. I'm still unclear whether or not the 2016 has the quartersawn neck.

The one Jolly bought is one of the remaining 2015's.

Which means he has to remove the whole neck, adjust the truss rod, screw the neck back in, retune, check the curvature, and repeat if necessary. Another Charvel turn off that keeps me from wanting another one.

Fortunately, I've never had to do that on my four others.

I've got a neck like that,def a PITA.
One of my techs forever ago just sanded a little "U'-thingie in the p/g by the neck p/up,made the adjustments a lot easier!

As long as the nk p/up doesn't fall off teh screws from being lowered so much...

Wait what? Then what is that hole I clearly see in the headstock just bellow the string retention bar? Isn't that for an allen wrench, Fender Strat style?

Its just a spot stained brown. Im guessing for a "traditional " appearance... kinda goofy, but...

I like that the new ones have the wheel truss adjust, but they added that and took away the quartersawn aspect. Im sure they still kick azz.. the new ones also have some new switching options..

Cool! please put up some reviews when you do. As Ive mentioned before, Im esp curious about the pegasus/sentient set. Tho Im really more curious about the Black winter set.. How bout you get one of those and review it for me??? wink wink...

Now that's just silly, can't see the purpose to doing that on a back-routed guitar, pickguard one maybe.

Now that I think about it, my Washburn MGs have that walnut plug too buy at least they have a slot in the guitar's body for the Allen wrench to go in
