Dirty Fingers PLUS

Anyone handled one yet?

..they have a A2 mag(s?) In them. Supposedly thick, raunchy but still good clarity and articulation without the harsh.

Re: Dirty Fingers PLUS

New. They have one in that new 335 Studio. Sounds badass on the ZZounds demo.

Re: Dirty Fingers PLUS

Are the specs the same except for A2 magnets?

IDK for sure. I expect so based on the 335 Studio demo @ zzounds.com super hot, lots of cut, but in a a2 type of way....round and bouncy. Kinda like a Burstbucker 3 on steroids.

Re: Dirty Fingers PLUS

I don't care for the sound of that clip. It sounds like a more constipated PG?

It sounds like your typical ceramic p'up, if you ask me.

BTW, what is f****n' Stalin doing there instead of your usual uber-hot asian girl???

Re: Dirty Fingers PLUS

It is certainly an interesting pickup.

It is kind of like across between a 500t and a 498t. Its very bright and hot like the 500t, rounder notes like the 498t, more lows than either and more articulate than either. Very tight for chuggas. But still has some chew. Cleans up pretty well with the volume control...a million times better than a custom custom does.

Height is key..it def sounds constipated at factory height. A couple turns lowered on each side and it opens up considerably.

For a HO pup, which I am normally not a fan of, its pretty cool. Very distinct tone.

Re: Dirty Fingers PLUS

They're Ceramic not A2.

From Gibson's Site :site:
"pickup is a new Dirty Fingers Plus humbucker, a new take on the venerable Dirty Fingers 'bucker, retooled by Gibson's Jim DeCola. The Dirty Fingers Plus still uses a ceramic magnet like the original Dirty Fingers but with some key differences, and the pickup has a more focused tonality. It's designed to give you scorching lead tones in full humbucking mode with the power to push your amp into crunchy rhythm or singing sustain, while a push-pull tone pot splits the pickup into single coil mode."

Anyway i have a pair of these. How much can i get for them considering they cannot be purchased without a guitar?

Re: Dirty Fingers PLUS

Original Dirty Fingers was pretty cool in the least Gibsony Gibson ever, the Gibson M-iii
