Discontinued Charvel San Dimas Candy Apple Red And Blue For $599

Re: Discontinued Charvel San Dimas Candy Apple Red And Blue For $599

I bought one of these Mexican ones here in the past couple month. After having to change the switch, the guitar is fantastic. It plays effortlessly, and I didn't have to do anything to the setup to get it to sound good. I'm very pleased with mine

Good info! Thanks! Yeah, yours arrived with a broken switch right? That stinks when that happens. But at least: A) the dealer agreed to swap it right? And B) it was a normal switch.. I bought one of the first Taylor electrics they came out with a few year back. Switch came snapped off. It was part of a control system and not JUST a switch. The dealer wasnt very friendly about wanting to fix it cuz the system was $80.. Great guitar after that. Nver shoulda sold her...Glad you are digging it! Im a big Charvel fanboy nowadays.. magical necks...

Very easy fix. Simple three way toggle, just must've gotten loose in shipping. But the guitar itself is amazing. I play it daily. For being a Mexican made guitar, I think the quality is Fantastic. I'd stand behind it anyday. There's some parts of it I like over my American Standard strat

Very good! thanks!

One other thing... Are they using the same shape necks as the Japanese ones? I remember in the 80s the import (beyond the Model series, which were very good) necks started going all over the place. I was suprised when the japanese san dimas guitar I got a couple years back had a fatter neck than my japanese so cal.

Pro Audio Star has them listed on Ebay as well I just made an offer and scored it for less than $599 plus free shipping.

Those apple red and blue were my favourite, it was a good luck shot for me to get one last year before the droped the red SoCal which I absolutely love.

I'd love to have one of those, with those specs and that price that's a great value.

And as much as I really don't care for a JB, it really does sound great in those guitars.

What Floyd are you on? The fine tuners should be that easy to adjust and you shouldn't be hitting them anyway. Palm muting with a Floyd does take some technique, well, a floating floyd anyway. I've seen lots of people try and heavily palm mute a floyd guitar and wonder why the guitar tuning feels slightly sharp. All in the technique imo.

I have two of those. One is quite good, and the other one is properly great. I've hardly touched anything else than my red one for the last couple of months (and I have a couple of vintage Gibsons, US Fender and so on). :)

LOL...I'm the same way. I haven't played any of my Gibsons in probably a couple of years.

Damn, that says a lot! You got (had?) quite the squad of Gibsons!
