Distortion trembucker?

Do they make a neck trembucker? If so, would it match up with a PRS Dragon in the bridge? I want a hot neck trembucker that works with pickup covers that matches with a Dragon. The '59 seems too low-output. Any other ideas?

Re: Distortion trembucker?

When you say trembucker, do you mean a trem-spaced humbucker, or a Parallel Axis Trembucker?

+1
If you are thinking spaced I have no idea what you are talking about because you wouldnt need an f-spaced p/up for the neck unless you have an insanly wide string space on your guitar. I have a feeling he's thinking Parallel Axis though.

^^^^ correct.

If it is the PATB you're talking about, I don't think there's a Distortion neck version. Although, now that I've said that, it seems like you can get lots of pickups in the PATB configuration.

So you wouldn't need a trem-spaced/f-spaced humbucker for a PRS Custom 22 in the neck position?
answer: no you wouldn't need a trem spaced pickup for the neck position of any guitar, bucause f spaced refers to Fender style bridge(fender trem) and therefore has wider string spacing to acompany the wider string spacing of the fender tremolo system, so the polepieces aline with the strings.

Re: Distortion trembucker?

Now if the guitar in question have a prs tremolo it would need an f-spaced(trembucker) bridge pickup.

Yeah I figured that part. But I'm going to put a PRS Dragon in in anyway, and considering it is made by the company it should suit their guitars. Thanks for the help, guys.
