DIY guitar hangers.

Anyone ever make any? I've seen some made with lawn, rake type hangers and neoprene/foam. A cost of $3-$4 a piece doesn't sound too bad.

Something like this.

Re: DIY guitar hangers.

I used those very same hooks in my basement where we practiced. Seemed to work great at first but after a while started to leave marks in the finish of one of my Les Pauls. I had no problems with other guitars like Fenders but I eventually replaced them with real guitar hangers.

I have five guitars on those Home Depot hangars in my basement. They work great as long as you don't have a nitro finished guitar.

Yeah, I've heard about the nitro finish problems. No nitro git's here....yet anyway.

I used to, but I found these:

At about 3 bux each it's hard to argue. I do build in an additional .50 for longer screws. Haven't tried my LP yet, but feels like the same nitro safe foam on the Hercules/fret rest hangers

Those look really interesting. Is the block plastic? If so, solid or hollowed out? Also, Are you able to bend the hooks up any?
$17 for 5 is hard to beat.
