Do I upgrade to the Fulltone FD2 MOSFET?

I am a longtime user and LOVER of the standard Fulldrive 2.

Is there any real reason for me to pony up for the MOSFET model?

I use my FD2 for many things

1) with my single channels, after my OCD to boost for solos, comp cut
2) FM mode into clean or dirty channel on channel to goose it, or get a dirty clean
3) comp cut mode on all the time to get huge cleans and/or goose a gain channel or old Marshall

For one year, I played almost everything at gigs with an FD2 on all the time in FM mode.

I love this pedal. I thought it was expensive when I bought it, but the week before I had played with a known session player who used an FD2 into a HR Deluxe and it blew me away!

I love these pedals, but I am kinda cheap. I don't wanna sell mine without knowing what I am getting into, so I would have to buy the other one first.

So what to do?

Want Mosfet? Keep what you have and grab a duncan lava box sfx-05. sweet pedal.

I just hear the Fulltone FD2 Mosfet is all the FD2 had and then some!
Very useful swiss amry knife pedal

btw I own an OCD.

NO ONE has gven me a straight answer on this question, given the uses I mentioned above. Sure, I can read harmony-central etc, but I am on forums to comminicate with people personally.

When I owned that pedal I NEVER EVER had it on the standard setting. The MOSFET setting just BLEW IT AWAY NO COMPARISON. It was just so much more dimensional, just seemed like a boost of everything, thicker, more lows, more highs. Plus, the new one comes in that godly blue color! I sold my 10th Anniversary version, I never used it in general. Good pedal as you know, and the MOSFET only makes it better.

Yes... Why not. If it doesn't suit you then you could always leave it on standard mode. I kept mine on MOSFET most of the time though.
