No I don't change the whole character of a pedal...Basically I enhance the tone of the pedal(s) by adding better components,tweaking for more lows,tighter,or sweeter,smoother tone,more gain,more articulation,quiet etc..The pedal still retains it's sound and character but it is greatly "enhanced"

The idea is to fix or enhance the downfalls or deficiencies of the pedal..

I've built several pedals. A fuzz face clone was my first, because it was really easy. I've since them built a compressor, and phaser. I'd really like to build a rotary sim, or an actual tape echo. :firedevil
