Look, it's just my opinion. Some people like gaudy/ flashy/ tacky design, but me, I prefer subtle with taste. But taste I think is inborn not acquired; either you have it or you don't. Just like painting, you know. .

Ibanez has done what you did around 2004/ 2005 with the RGT series, with taste. There is a balance between the points of interests (the stripes) and the background (body).

While yours, the idea seems to be "use it to the max", like the more the merrier; and every element has to jump forward.

Your design reminds of Carvin Greg Howe signature. Everything is just screaming to my face:

You obviously have something to prove, but if you believe in yourself, why care about what other people say?

Can you not see the difference between your creation and Ibanez'? Your grain is too much, especially the one on the left in the first photo. But that's just me.

I should also add that the PRS copy in this thread, it seems that it was cut with a chisel and bare hands, not a machine. Check out the bout and the headstock, the lines aren't sharp.

Jup, I do carve by hand. Have I ever claimed I use a CNC? No. In fact, I don't use a CNC at all.

As to the lines not being crisp. I beg to differ. Perhaps it's lighting, but Crip and clean, it is.

About the guitar body on the left: that's pure nature. I understand that's not to everyone's liking, sure.but nothing was done to enhance the grain.

I miss the days of us ripping each others' heads off and getting banned over politics and religion. It kept the douchieness out of the gear threads.

On topic- Awesome build. Gold isn't my thing, but I bet that thing sounds and plays great.
