That being said, it is a good thing to play what you want, but as Lou said we all started playing to play our music, and the music that we love. I would suggest you get your "original band" to play some recognizable music for your audience, and mixed it up with a your originals. It's a good balance that will allow you some freedom, and keep the crowd happy!! LOL.
