Do you think this amp would work well with this cab?

Re: Do you think this amp would work well with this cab?

Should sound fine. JTM45s sound good through Vintage 30s. Just set the head on the floor adjacent. It will only hang over about 2" on either side, but still....

Re: Do you think this amp would work well with this cab?

...there are a lot of things you could accidentally knock on the floor, but your new $2,000 tube head shouldn't be one of them.

$900 for a 212! I don't think so. IMO

Look into Avatar's 212 sig-cabs,,,,,,they are huge, can choose speaker models or blends, colors,,,way cheaper and built "better" IMO.

Do you think i should be able to get yngwie tones out of this rig, with a pedal?

Mechanically, yes. Aesthetically, no.

Sincerely, a guy with a bunch of green and Orange guitars and amps.

Free shipping all weekend on Avatars!
Under $700 for a vintagy-bluesbreaker all-birch 412 with whatever you want in there.

They even have the over-sized and vintage-sized unloaded 212 for $327,,,,and you can still customize it except the tolex is black-only.
And don't let the goofy logo-in-the-corner turn you away,,,,,,they'll let you pick the logo type, size, color and position if you email Dave.

Looks like they're also doing a hiwatt copy now with Fanes available. Even has the slotted-port at the bottom of the back.

If you're into 12" cab-depth they have the traditional-series.

I'm also curious why you are looking at the expensive Marshall 2x12? I'm a sucker for matching heads and cabs, but if I couldn't afford the 4x12 at the same time (I assume that's what you want) I'd grab a Peavey off of Craigslist rather than that Marshall. Unless your goal is to get the matching Silver Jubilee to match the cab too.

Re: Do you think this amp would work well with this cab?

You can do alot better with $900 on a cab... I'd look locally for a used Marshall 4x12 if I were you.

Re: Do you think this amp would work well with this cab?

The sound would fine if not amazing. From an aesthetic stand point it would make me crazy. I cant deal with a head being a 1/4 larger than the cab let alone that.

Re: Do you think this amp would work well with this cab?

I already have this cab. It matches my mini jubilee, which is why i bought it originally. The reason i asked this question is because i may be able to afford another head but not another cab later this year.
