does anyone know much about bc rich handmade guitars?

Re: does anyone know much about bc rich handmade guitars?

I do. I own three, have a fourth on the way and and have owned a fifth one. (see the flame war thread for two of my current ones) Both Jackson and BC Rich are excellent quality. I have owned USA Jacksons as well (A USA KE2, 2 KV2s an SL2H and an SL1). For me, BC Rich wins hands down. Most customs have mahogany body, eiether maple or mahogany necks through, quilted or flamed maple tops. (1/2 inch no that cheap veneers on Jacksons) BC Rich usually puts DiMarzios in but if it's a custom order obviously you can get whatever you want. I think due to building materials BC Rich has a better more solid tone. I could probably called biased. I do love USA Jacksons but have not kept a single. I sold most of them in order to buy my USA Riches.

SHAMELESS PLUG:

If you're looking for a USA Rich, I have a USA Bich Supreme like in your picture but not in blue but natural finish (again see the flamewar thread to see what a natural finish looks like) pm me. I have one I am looking to sell.

Thanks for the info, im defenately going to put some kind of custom order in. Its just a matter of the money, i just picked up a custom shop soloist.:D

How would you compair the necks?

Re: does anyone know much about bc rich handmade guitars?

Jackson's neck are a bit flatter and wider. I would compare the BC Rich necks I have to a thinner Les Paul type neck. Curvey, not too wide, very comfortable. Custom orders are gonna be around $2800 depedning on what you get. and about a year long wait.
