Does anyone make this P90?

I don't mind paying a good price for a good pickup, but because 90% of them turn out NOT to be what i wanted i no longer am willing to buy anything but fairly cheap stuff. I find they are just as hit or miss as high end stuff. So i really want to stay cheap here. What i'm looking for is a P90 thats clearer and janglier than a regular P90, which no dobt means less of that P90 middiness. I have a LP special and i love the stock p90 in the bridge, but the neck is way too dark on the wound strings and it's hard to get the sound i want. I mainly use the neck on any guitar for semi clean to clean playing by turning the guitar way down to clean up. (yes, i have a bleed cap) I like that wind crys mary kind of thing with just a bit more dirt than that, but i DO realize thats not going to happen. I just want it to be a bit closer to that direction than the muddy thing it is now. I read somewhere A2 leans that way even tho the few A2 pickups i had didn't seem too. But they were hot so that may be why. Tonerider makes a p90 A2 that describes it as being clearer and brighter than a regular P90 for just over $50 on ebay. Anyone try those? I know GFS is cheap, but do any of them do that cleaner less middy thing i need? any other ones that might fit my needs and are cheap? oh, and i've exhausted all polepiece and overall height adjustments. It DOES get a lot clearer very very close to the strings, but it then is hotter which i don't want and it still has too much mids to get sweet.

Swap in some A3 or A4 magnets. Possibly, even a mixture of types. (This is blueman335's special interest. Pin back your lugholes.)

Have you tried a 500k pot? Back the pickup down and raise the screws out of the pup. Should help.

Maybe a low-wind P90?.
Al
Yep or a mag change. I guess they are stock Gibsons. I changed the mags on my set of Gibsons P90: An A2 into the neck and an A8 into the bridge.
Works like charm and cheap too.

Hmmm...A2 is what the tonerider vintage is. So when you say works like a charm, what did it do to the neck pup compared to A5's in the stock gibson ?

I'd say perhaps a TV Jones T-armond, but... not that cheap. I don't like Lollar's p90s myself, but for what you want, you want low wind or not a true p90. I buy used, and just if I don't like it, flip it. Generally no loss of money and sometimes I make a few bucks, sometimes I lose a few.

How's about any freakin pickup you want...in a P-90 housing.

Get a strat pickup in a p-90.

Duncan can do anything. Just call the custom shop and tell them what you want.

I've got a Peavey Firenza that has P90's that are supposedly from a company in Japan named KMS. These pickups only have a DC resistance of 6K, and are quite clean and jangly, yet still have a decent P90 sound when overdriving a preamp. From what I read on some boards these pickups were quite expensive in Japan.

I might not have the name of the company correct, but if you do some research on The Google for Firenza P90 pickups you should find the name of the manufacturer.

Kaihatsu Music Shokai couldn't find anything about their pickups. Seems they sell other stuff more than their own.

Turns out they aren't cheap. Found this ....
90s Peavey Firenza. Outstanding USA-made guitar with boutique pick-ups made by a small shop called KMS (Kaihatsu Music Shokai), but marketed by Gotoh.

To this day, Gotoh still puts these pups in a pretty box and sells 'em for $100+/ea
