does(do) your pet(s) get jealous when you play?

one of my cats... well, two of them wont freak'n leave me alone when i'm trying to practice. they become absurdly needy and jealous. one of them even bit down on my left forearm hard enough to leave an indent because i was paying more attention to my guitar than him.
the other one, well both actually, have an inordinate proclivity to jump up on my lap. far more than usual.
one of them starts freaking out when i play up around the 17th-21st frets on the high E string. its meow-this, and meow-that and an alarming "grrroooowwwwoooowwwwwwl" sound. i guess he hears it as a strange cat meowing.

At least you've got P-Rails.

No...my 8 year old Staffordshire Terrier bays and howls along...acoustically but not with electric.

Yes. One of my cats (Trip) always sits on my picking hand/arm when I try to play. However, sometimes she actually tries to strum the guitar instead of letting me do it.

Nope... both my cats are ass holes... They do like to sit out in the shop when I'm working out there though. One does get very lonely at night. He'll talk to his toy bear until he realizes that he's not the only one awake.

I think it's like 'reserved parking'. Nobody likes it when someone else parks in their spot.

One of my cats does one of two things.........

Usual - walks out of the room when I start playing......in fact she now will see me plugging in and start to get out of there.

Occasionally - If she needs some attention and I'm playing she will come in and give me a bite on the shin to get my attention.

My brother's cats would try to sit on his computer while he worked at it. One would warm itself on the CRT monitor. The other would walk across the keyboard to get itself between his leg and one arm, forcing him to type one-handed.

My girlfriend is pretty jealous of all the love, attention and time I devote to music and my guitars in general. No pets at the moment though.

My lil baby Trippy Dippy Doo not letting me play. I had the guitar in my lap prior to the pic, but she decided that she was more important than me playing guitar.

My cats are the same way.. They love when I play, my black male cat does just like this and lays on me the entire time I practice. My chocolate lab before she passed away she laid at my feet while I played for 14 years.. There must be something to this...
