Don't post much here, but this is my band's stuff

Re: Don't post much here, but this is my band's stuff

Chris: it's good to see a band of people from CT in the age of 16-26 that ARENT doing hardcore or punk. I wish I could find a band like yours, everyone in waterbury wants to yell or play crappy punk.

I really like your stuff, I might be able to check you out on tuesday night Nov 15th, since I'll be at college in west hartford until 6:00 that night anyways, I might stop by... who else is playing that night?

Haha... I know "exactly" how you feel. I went through a lot of punk/hardcore ads on the CTMusic.com Classifieds until I got ahold of Doug, my singer/acoustic player.

I'd love to meet you on the 15th :beerchug: I'll have to find out the other names of the bands on the venue, but the headliner is a band on Wind-Up Records called "The Exit" (I've never heard of them before this). It'll be my first "real" gig ever, so I'm going to have a lot of fun with it :)

Thanks for the kind words and I'm sure I'll have plenty of gigs in the future (I know for a fact that myself, my singer and my drummer definitely won't be going anywhere), so if you'd ever like to meet sometime, I'm sure there'll be an opportunity to (maybe something close to Waterbury even, I know it's a bit of a hike) :beerchug:

That type of music is not my thing, but you guys sound tight...guitar parts are nice (good tone on that Crate..kinda vox/marshall hybrid-like)..singing is quite good!

Just needs more solos! ;) :D

Thanks, the type of material really isn't that difficult, so that's probably why we sound tight ;)

I have a few other songs besides Everything and Redirected where I do get to play some solos :) Being in a songwritten driven type band (everybody feeds off of each other) means that where solos would take away from the feel of the song, they have to go. It makes my life a lot easier too because while I enjoy playing lead fillers, soloing would take its toll on me after a while :ugh1:

Terry, I may do a Refreshments song in the future, but I think "Fonder and Blonder" or "Preacher's Daughter" would be more fun :D
Hey...I play those!!!

The lead in "Preacher's Daughter" might sound tough, but it's fairly easy & I love that OD on the EL84s:bigthumb:
