Dots for me I'm afraid. I'm an absolute sucker for all things Fender.

Though saying that, should I ever get my big break, I wouldn't mind my signature on the 12th fret. That'd be nice.

Dots and crowns. No blocks, no birds, no vines, no boomerangs, none of that crap. Just dots and crowns for me.

+1 for no-inlays. Perhaps, if I really have to have one, I prefer some SIMPLE thing at the XII fret.

For me it's dots on fenders, except the Jaguar and Jazzmasters, which i like with binding and blocks.

Trapezoid on Gibson, except the juniors and specials, which need the dots for that stripped down vibe.

I like dots on strat type guitars & blocks on LP style guitars.

Real original, huh!

Some things you just cant mess with!

I generally do not like goopy stuff like tree of life and things of that ilk, no crapola on the fretboard please!

Who's signature guitar is that? I'd guess Kerry King or Jeff Henneman but I'm pretty sure it's not...

I'm embarrased I had to look it up, does he play with anyone other than Superjoint Ritual? (How I really do dig, never seen them live though)

How about I stay on topic? :D

I really like the trapezoids on a Gibson, but other than that I like really interesting inlays that still follow the 3/5/7/9/12 etc. pattern. Interesting material is cool too, chrome or stainless is eyecatching. I don't think I'd own one, but one of those LED dot guitars are cool the first time you see one live.

It really doesn't matter to me. Blocks look good on certain types of guitars, same with dots.

Kyuss has got it right, blocks + bind on Jazz/Jag, but usually I like traps, sharkfins (RIC style, not jackson!), moons (not prs style, but on the gibson faded series), and banjo inlays

I like tiny pearloid dots but on a dream axe I would go for vines.

dots may not be flashy but you know where the f**k your hand is in relation to the fretboard
