DR Strings Dimebag Darrell Hi-Voltage???

Re: DR Strings Dimebag Darrell Hi-Voltage???

They're good because the 'higher voltage' actually creates MORE output by electrifying your pickups as you play. And the little lightning bolts flying all over the place during your solos make you seem like a rock star!!!

/sarcasm

Strings are pretty much a matter of personal preferance man, like boxer briefs. Try a pair, they're only like five bucks...

Re: DR Strings Dimebag Darrell Hi-Voltage???

Yeah, check out the Zakk Wylde signature Distortion strings... That's where the tone comes from.

Re: DR Strings Dimebag Darrell Hi-Voltage???

i havent tried those in particular but i love my dr strings

Re: DR Strings Dimebag Darrell Hi-Voltage???

DR's are my favorite strings, hands down. I wish they were cheaper as I can only afford them for special occasions. I change strings at least every 2 weeks, so I need to economize.

Re: DR Strings Dimebag Darrell Hi-Voltage???

DRs are awesome! They seem to stay toneful longer and just have a more "pleasing" (for lack of a better word) tone to my ears. But, yes, just try some :)

Re: DR Strings Dimebag Darrell Hi-Voltage???

unless these "hi voltage" strings are like those "high gain" strings that one company makes (dean markley?) those things are just crap

Re: DR Strings Dimebag Darrell Hi-Voltage???

they are nickle plated hex core strings, im sure the hi voltage was a dime thing since their other nickle plated hex core strings are hi beams

Re: DR Strings Dimebag Darrell Hi-Voltage???

I love DR High Beams. Wasn't real impressed with the Dime strings or the Tite-fits. I'm using EB Slinkys now.

Re: DR Strings Dimebag Darrell Hi-Voltage???

really? i prefer the tite fits to the hi beams

Re: DR Strings Dimebag Darrell Hi-Voltage???

It's all a matter of preference. I use Martin acoustic strings on my "metal" guitar.
