Dream BIG! What is your dream guitar?

We are not talking GAS people, we are talking DREAM!

What do you dream for? That is extremely unrealistic...

Me? Gibson Custom Shop '67 Flying V white with Tremolo (no FR crap)

I can also settle with a white Flying V but much prefer '67...

You?

Re: Dream BIG! What is your dream guitar?

My dream guitar, like most of my dreams, changes every night.

I'd love a triple P90 Tele... but then, I think of the Guild Bluesbird that got away.

Or maybe a Gibby Super 400, with gold hardware.

Then I just say, ":censored: it!" and go with my custom sig bass -- a five string Gibson LP Triumph in black. Fretted, and fretless.

Re: Dream BIG! What is your dream guitar?

By some stoke of crazy luck, I push Jimmie Vaughan out of harms way, saving his life.

As a supreme gesture of kindness and appreciation, he presents me with SRV's #1.

And then, I woke up.

It will be acouple years to save up so not sure if it would ever happen, but I would love to own this beast: a copy of Mayer’s Black1.

More than any other guitar, I dream for one of the first several dozen Fender Esquires ever made. They were thin-bodied at 1-1/2", made of pine, had a black/white color scheme, a single pickup, and a neck with no truss rod. Yummy...

Here is one of Fender's modern reissues of those guitars:

One of the perhaps 5 golden age LP's produced in lefty.

Not without a lottery win of course, and a persuasive letter perhaps to Sir Paul McCartney (who owns two of them).

Re: Dream BIG! What is your dream guitar?

That MAyer guitar is so fake aged....

I dream of a custom Crossley

345. Trapeze. Ebony board. Mahogany neck. Mono. Teardrop tobacco/vintage burst (deep black to whiskey yellow..no brown). Nickel hardware. Black rings and speeds. Nickel covers on a set of late patent# style pickups.

No flame, just age rings, water and mineral marks.

My good buddy Dave has me over to the manse for a few beers and a jam session. My playing is so good, he hands me this, saying he won't be needing it any more.

"This ’55 Esquire was used on the recording of David’s first solo album, and on the 'The Wall' recording sessions. It has a custom fitted neck pickup which was installed by Seymour Duncan – who sold this guitar to David in the first place.

David nicknamed this guitar “The Workmate” because of its worn color."

Re: Dream BIG! What is your dream guitar?

I own all my dream guitars. I literally have nothing left to wish for. And my dream guitars aren't necessarily your dream axes! ;)

Re: Dream BIG! What is your dream guitar?

There are a few guitars that are on my long time must have list and a few of them are pretty high dollar but are still do-able...a 60's Gibson Barney Kessel Custom:

A Trussart Steel Top,. not unlike this one:

But if we're talking dream guitars I'm thinking I need to pick something I'll never, ever own...

In that case maybe a real Burst LP in a nice low flame/unburst:

Maybe an original Broadcaster:

Or a pre war Martin OM-28:
