This is the closest I could find pics of online as far as a dream guitar goes:
Imagine this guitar without the trem, just a standard 3 brass saddle tele bridge and I'm there. I've found over the years I'm a sucker for the tele electonics layout, bridge single coil with standard tele bridge twang, but I like the thought of a Filtertron neck (seems like it'd balance much better than the standard humbuckers you always seem to see). Trussarts are the most inspiring guitars I've ever played outside of my '63 RI CS Fender, it's just that finding one with the right options for an affordable price is impractical.
With that said, I'd love to check out one of these... it may end up being the right guitar to play out with when I want to leave my '63 at home:

Probably a trans black swamp ash bodied neck-through Iceman, with a 27" scale, reverse Ibanez headstock (not an iceman headstock, blegh), ebony fretboard, no inlays, 3 toggle where it would be on a LP, with a set of Black Winters, a Hipshot fixed bridge, and a 1 (1meg) volume knob. That's my dream guitar, ATM.

To be honest, I tend to dream of beautiful creatures of the female persuasion, but since you asked about guitars . . .
I have simple tastes. A genuine MIA Fender Stratocaster, hardtail, Seafoam green, would float my boat. (Think, Robert Cray, in green.)
Now, having said that, I'm not sure why I don't have one. :scratchch

I'd go for some custom built stuff for myself. An SSH Tele w/ 7 way switching, ash body, maple neck, SM-3 in the neck, Donahue in the bridge and probably a stack of some sort in the middle. An Equator of some sort. A vintage Les Paul Jr with a single P90. An HSH Strat w/ 7 way switching, P-rails and a Duckbucker, alder body, rosewood fretboard. A "Tele" w/ mahogany body and a flamed koa carved top and two PAFs of some sort.
