Clapton just used fenders and marshalls, back in the day, that soldano and bogner spend all day trying to remake.

Don't take it as an insult but I use an MG15 at guitar lessons and the only thing I find usable is the clean channel. Get out to GC and try some stuff, you'll be very suprised.

Dude! I got Carlos Santana's Abraxis **** down pat on that MG15DFX and a Schecter C1 Elite w/ Duncan Designed HB105s in it! I got that Black Magic Woman, Soul Sacrifice tone on that Marshall all day long baby! And it's just a little crappy solid state! Just imagine if I was on a sweet tube amp!

The soldano atomic, astroverb and hot rods are excellent amps. I recently sold a hot rod 50+, and that was an excellent amp that gigged and recorded terrifically. The only reason I sold mine is that I fell in love with a Victoria Double Deluxe, and it wasn't quite right for the band project I intended it for (think JTM45, not modern high gain). Great amp, though, and very much it's own thing.
