My 1 year old DTAR Solstice has a problem with the grounding switch on the rear panel. It is jammed in. I have never used it until in the studios last week, one of the tech's was trying to eradicate some hum. He asked me if I knew the switch was bust? He took the cover off and the small spring loaded switch is indeed jammed on we think? The switch has a 6 pin connection onto a PCB, who would be able to fix this in the UK. It's a brilliant unit, I use it four times a week, but I would like it fixed! Does anybody know where I could get a switch?

Re: DTAR Solstice problem

Hey Ali. Sorry to hear about your bad ground switch. I would suggest contacting D-TAR exclusive distributor for the UK, Rosetti Music. They should be able to point you towards a qualified repair tech in your area. Best of luck.

Re: DTAR Solstice problem

Thanks Evan,
I'm 99.9% sure Rosetti would not know what I was talking about if I called them. They carry so many products that they have very little specialist knowledge of individual products they carry. I have had years of experience of this I'm afraid. They have great distibution, which is great for the producers that use them. Very very poor retail customer service sadly. Bad for us (the consumer) I need to find out if a) The switch can be swapped by a qualified tech? b) can DTAR / Seymour Duncan get a switch to me asap? c) can I get the exact same spec' switch here in the UK, believe me Rosetti will not know this (sadly). If you can help at all, I would be very grateful, even a contact in the tech dept at DTAR, who could tell me the answer to my questions?
Help.
Ali
