the wording on the PCB on the photo HERE shows it to be a Blackout single ended preamp. although post #12 in this thread suggests that was the hint of what is now the Duality, it's been said the Duality has a different preamp. with all the emphasis on the Blackouts balanced differential preamp being better than EMG, how does a different preamp apply to the Duality?

also... does the Duality have the same balanced differential preamp circuitry that's used in Blackouts or is it more like the Firestorm preamp?

I just saw on the site that these use Alnuco 2 magnets. I've always wondered how that would sound with an active design.

Duncan livewires, both single coil and humbucker, have alnico 2 magnets.
