Duncan Designed SC-101

Does anyone know the DC resistance of the Duncan Designed SC-101?

The description says that it's a cross between an SSL-2 and an SSL-6, but being that there's a huge difference between how those two pickups are wound, that doesn't help me much.

Also, how are they marked for N, M or B positions?

thx

We're working on getting all the specs on the site. Stay tuned and thanks for your patience.

OK. But I was wondering if anyone's ever measured the resistance of one of these. Or can tell me how to tell the middle one from the other two.

Re: Duncan Designed SC-101

Hello everyone,
I've just bought an old Jackson PC3 with two Duncan Designed SC-101 and a HB103B.
They surprised me positively but it's really difficult to find some specs informations about them...

TremoloKing resume well my interogations specifically on the SC-101:
1) What's the DC resistance?

2) It's a cross between an SSL-2 and an SSL-6, but that doesn't help much.
These two have got a different tonal approach, so what are the influences of each pickups on the final result of the SC-101?

3) Where is it possible to find a tone guide, just like Treble : X
Middle : X
Bass : X

Thank you very much for your consideration, an sorry for my pour English (I live in Belgium...).

Re: Duncan Designed SC-101

I'm pretty sure I have a Hamer with that pickup in the neck and the HB 103 in the bridge. Don't know the specs, but the HB 103 is supposedly the DD version of the Duncan Distortion (high output) and the 101 is right there with it to my ears; high output with a little less attack and bite.

Re: Duncan Designed SC-101

The d.c. resistance of the SC-101n is around 7.9KOhms and the EQ curve would be something like Bass: 5 Mids: 3 Treble: 6.

I hope that helps.

Re: Duncan Designed SC-101

Thanks a lot guys!
Well, Evan Skopp, it helps really...
These pickups are not the best that I ever played but they are very decent and versatile.
