thanks for help with my ground problem, just installed set of duncans 1 volume no tone in strat , rosewood fretboard, they sound great, the neck especially, back the volume off and you can even get good blues tones, i have had aboubt 6 different pickup configurations in this guitar (h-s-s, H-H, S-S-S) and this is by far the best sounding pickups for this guitar, thanks for the help

Re: duncan distortion

I have a distortion in my bridge on my ibanez rg550 (basswood body, maple neck/fingerboard) which I just absolutely love.
You also have it in the neck?

Re: duncan distortion

I have a Distortion in the neck also. (Neck version.) I love it. If you haven't done so already, you gotta try these split. Its there best sound.

Re: duncan distortion

i didn't wire them with a split, however the neck pickup simply wails, has tons of sustain, i play rock and heavy blues i use just a medium amount of gain on amp and set up like this i can use the neck for bluesy rythmns even.

Re: duncan distortion

Hey Bluesboy -
Out of curiousity, how does it sound clean?
Does it distort easily if strumming chords?

thanks
jeff

Re: duncan distortion

the neck pickup sounds pretty good clean, , it has a little grit on it though, i never play totally clean though, my other strat with classic stak plus however is defintely better clean, had the dd,s in my sg first and didn't like them in it.
