Duncan Pickups that are quiet like EMG?

I had a set of 18v hmet livewires a long time back, and I remember them being just loud as hell, but I don't remember if they were hissy or feedback squealers....

I have taken a much closer look into recording tone and live sound lately, and my emgs are so quiet that I find myself grabbing that guitar often.
I do have a hush pedal that makes life easier, but I'd like to quel my hearing loss a bit as well...

So... My question is, are the live Duncan's similarly quiet ? I'd rather get Duncan's than buy more EMG's because I'm like that.

Someone chime in real quick like, so I can spend more money on gear I don't need....

Are you talking about hum & buzz? And, I assume, active pickups? My Duncan actives are absolutely silent. Well, until I wail into them. :headbang:

Active Duncans are just as or more quiet than other actives. So are passive ones, depending on your level of gain and the level of compression.
