Duncans in a fat strat!

Hey guys,

I haven't been here in a while, dealing with some health issues. I hope everyone is well.

I wanted to see what you all thought about the following.

I have a 2013 American Standard Strat. I love how it feels, plays and sounds acoutically, sounds huge.

However, I am not a single coil fan but love stacked humbuckers and rails that are designed to sound like single coils. For example, I have a Duncan Little 59 for Tele and Duncan Vintage Stack in my 2012 American Standard Tele. Love them both! I have 500K pots as well and they sound great!

For the strat, I was looking at the DiMarzio At-1 Andy Timmons humbucker and two Cruiser rail pickups.

Being a big Seymour Duncan fan, I think I want to stick to the Duncan route. What are your thoughts about a Duncan JB or 59/Custom Hybrid in a strat with 250K pots?
So for the middle and neck pickups, what about the Duncan STK-7S in the neck slot with 250K pots. Sound good? I would need to find the right middle pickup to match.

I may be willing to install 500K pots as well.

Thanks for any advice! :)

I use classic stack plus stk_$4 in my Strat with the stock 250k pots. Sounds great!

Re: Duncans in a fat strat!

I recommend gluing up a quadrahelical array of Invaders or Black Winters for the bridge so you can the maximum output possible, just enough distortion to create a gravitational singularity without affecting the creation of a 2nd big bang.

for the neck position, a baby carrot will give you clean, crisp articulate tones, still be able to handle crunch, but with a bit of sweetness.

Thanks bro! I picked up a few different models from Guitar Center today along with the DiMarzio AT-1 and Duncan SH-16. I will see what works. Take care dude and thanks for the input. :)
