Dunlop Crybaby from Hell versus 535Q

Which wah do you think is better?

Can the crybaby from hell do something the 535Q cannot?

I currently own a 535Q and Zakk Wylde wah. I like the versatility of the former, especially its wider sweep, but the latter just flat out beats it tone-wise. It's just thicker and sounds incredibly good under high gain. The ZW is my main wah (hard rock and metal), while the 535Q right now is on my 2nd "variety music" pedalboard.

Depends. I like the Q function on the 535, but the Baby from Hell sounds a little more straight forward. It seems like the 535 Q can do something the Hell cannot (the Q function as well as a volume control not just boost) but the Hell has a fine tuner knob, so it just depends on which you think makes the pedal sound better.

crybaby from hell sounds better with high gain. If you wanna da funk, go with the 535Q.

so it just depends on which you think makes the pedal sound better.

For me, a thick sound under high gain is what makes a good wah sound. Also, I prefer darker wahs. the Vox demos on youtube for example, are pretty disappointing to me.

How much better? Is it as thick-sounding as the Zakk Wylde wah?

I haven't used the ZW wah. The CBFH wah has a wider sweep and cut as a ninja sword so it helps for ultra high gain stuff. I guess the ZW wah is similar.

Compared to the CBFH, I find the Zakk Wylde a little thin. The ZW has less mids, and that to me makes a sound thicker, because in my opinion guitars are supposed to be in the mid range, so try the CBFH and if you like it buy.

I hope that I'm helping, but there's so many different pedals and such that it's hard to say which one is the best.
