this might sound like a stupid question but whats the best way to clean a mixer? i have one that's covered in dust and the channels are really close together, too close for my fat fingers to get a cloth into and i REALLY don't want to take all the knobs and sliders off to clean it. is there a lazy mans way like using a hoover or leaf blower or something

Re: dusty mixer question

After you do this, at least get a vinyl cover, OK?

Get a can of compressed air to blow out the fader slots. Vacuum with a hand-held vac or a crevice tool attachment on a full-size. If it's got VU windows, spray some window cleaner on a paper towel, and gently wipe clean.

Anything more complex than this, you'll need a good tech.
