hi guys
when i listen to the solo part of one of these nights, by the eagles, i just love that guitar sound and most of all the gritty, crunchy, crackle sound that the guitar makes in the solo part, how do they get that sound ?????? is it pickups, valves, speakers, effect pedals or all four, i am sure you guys can help, that sound for me is a must have guitar solo sound, i just love it,

all the best, bluesfloyd

According to Felder it's just his '59 LP in to a narrow faced tweed deluxe. I sure I'm hearing some sort of fuzz on it too though. One of the greatest solos ever.

Sounds can be added in the mixing board. So the player may use X but other sounds come into play.
