ed roman guitars?

Re: ed roman guitars?

Stinnett guitars are killer too! Not sure if they meet your superstrat requirement tho. You could go Jackson Custom shop...

Re: ed roman guitars?

Christian, Ed Roman is as indefensible as Bernie Madoff. [explitive deleted - it was uncool]

I knew Ed when he had his place in Boston and visited him at the Vegas shop. Yes, his guitars were expensive but he was a really nice guy. Custom Shop Gibsons are really expensive should we start calling Henry Juszkiewicz some of the names thrown around in this thread? And at least if you called Roman's you could talk to Ed, call Gibson and ask for Henry Juszkiewicz. Unless you were directly slighted by Ed the anger is unnecessary.

Henry is a whole other level of Musical evil. He is the Citbank/BoA of guitar

Re: ed roman guitars?

The "Caparison"guitar line is an elite MIJ brand that specializes in the Custom Superstrat. Heres the' Dilinger' model;
( why are H-S-S models still made? Thats outmoded IMO)

I forget who it is but someone here has an alleged quote from the guy who made hamer guitars - chances are, the best music in history was made on gear that isn't as nice as what you have now.

I don't know anything about ed roman, other there is considerable vitriol associated with the name for whatever reason. I know there isn't the same vitriol with other small guitar manufacturers, like peter crossley (If you have the coin), or even mike (forum name "xssive") who makes baller guitars as well.

There's also like a thousand different people who will do superstrats if that's what you want. Find a luthier, contact USA Custom Guitars, and just pay what you would anyway for a guitar of the same quality built and set up by your local luthier.

That's got to be a guarantee. Rock stars had to start Somewhere, and that somewhere included junk guitars and worse amps. Or they cobbled stuff together out or radios and fireplaces.

Re: ed roman guitars?

To the OP, if you want a superstrat, Jackson has already been suggested and that's a damn fine guitar. They make quality USA made guitars. That would be where my money would go in a heartbeat. They have a custom guitar builder on their website where you can design a guitar

Re: ed roman guitars?

im looking for a super strat ,not a PRS/gibson-inspired guitar.
what would you recommend?

I'd be fairly inclined to suggest that Ibanez would cover just about every super strat idea you've got.

However, if you want something totally custom - http://www.ranguitars.com and check out their gallery.

The price has gone up in recent years but, there's little to beat Polish craftsmanship.

Re: ed roman guitars?

A LOT of good suggestions here.

I too will attest to the sublime quality of Suhr guitars with a big nod on the Modern model. An incredible Superstrat.

However I feel I have to echo BloodRose on this about Stinnett guitars, especially seeing as my no.1 guitar is one of his.
Will is an all-around awesome guy, very easy to communicate with, knows when to listen to his client's wishes and when to push if he thinks his client would be happier with sth different than what requested. In the end however what is the most important thing is that, what the client wants, the client DOES get.

About 3 years later since I got my Stinnett custom SS6 and I can't imagine ever letting that guitar go, ever.
