Edwards take on Jimmy Page LP

Re: Edwards take on Jimmy Page LP

oooooOOOOOhhhhHHHH....

schaaaaaweeeeeeTTT!!!

Re: Edwards take on Jimmy Page LP

thats a cool looking guitar and a much nicer price tag than the 25,000 that gibson wanted

Re: Edwards take on Jimmy Page LP

That's nice.

Their finnishes sometimes look a bit thick, though. Will that affect the tone.

Re: Edwards take on Jimmy Page LP

From the second I read about the Edwards guitars the other day on this forum, I have been jonesing for one. I already have a LP Classic. I must have an illness or something. The only place I've been able to find them for sale is Ebay. Anyone know how to purchase them brand new? With all of the good reviews about these guitars, I'm looking at ESP in a different light. Maybe I should check out some of their guitars...

Re: Edwards take on Jimmy Page LP

Those $15,000 Jimmy Gibson's are just collector doctor/lawyer guitars. It'd be nice to have one but not many will ever even see one lol. anyway, I like my guitars new shiny looking and like to ancient age them myself with beer and whiskey spills and cigar smoke and burns. yeah that works for me...

Re: Edwards take on Jimmy Page LP

so far I think we can only find them thru eBay... maybe if you search thru the online Jap store.. but so far the availability is only thru eBay.

Re: Edwards take on Jimmy Page LP

Damn! Wow, major GAS attack.

Now if they had a Joe Perry Boneyard LP copy, I'd be drooling over that :32:

Re: Edwards take on Jimmy Page LP

From what I've read, they all have that pickup combo, and play wonderfully, closest thing to an old gibson quality, better than todays standards...check out harmony central under edwards and esp. That particular guitar has been on for a while. The guy selling it bought it from ebay, and turned right around and put it back on and it looks like it's not selling. See, I've been jonesing!

Re: Edwards take on Jimmy Page LP

the finishes are pretty thick but they are Nitro...this sounds way better that poly so the fact that they are a tad thick makes NO difference! BTW if you guys want an Edwards (or any high quality MIJ guitar) check out Andrew

Re: Edwards take on Jimmy Page LP

you can only buy those overseas or in ebay. they can't sell that in US. current tokais, agiles and heritage all modified their LP shaped guitars to avoid lawsuit from gibson. and as many of you know even the PRS singlecut was not spared from gibson lawyers. :smack:

I have heard nothing but good things about both...some are real some are photo flame, but almost all have real maple caps! Andrew is a good guy to deal with and if you want one of those guitars I highly recomend dealing with Andrew. If fact he is looking for a specific Edwards LP in a Specific Finish as we speak for me!
