Effects Repair

Hi everybody. Does anyone know of anybody who'd repair a Big Muff?

I have an E-H/Sovtek Big Muff that hasn't worked for about a year, and I'd like to get it working again. The LED doesn't turn on, and there's virtually no output signal.

I've opened it up since and checked the connections, and everything seems to be in place; I don't know where the fault is. I had to resolder the 9v battery-snap wires once, but those connections are still secure. I'd like to repair it myself, but I can't even diagnose the problem :laugh2: . I'd appreciate any suggestions.

He actually designed/redesigned several pedals for Electro-Harmonix.

Good advice mrid! Who could be better to fix them than the designer himself! Howard is a great guy and one of the greatest anlaog designers of all time. He did a mod on my Big Muff NYC about 7 years ago and i've known him eversince. A great friend.

Thank you very much; I really appreciate all the help. I read over the info pages and I decided to simply replace the pedal. It's not a terribly expensive effect to start, so I might as well invest in a new one.

Again, thank you all for your help.

If you want to just buy a new one, I'm sure you can sell the broken Muff on Ebay or somewhere and get some extra cash.
