Electric Guitar Input Jack (preference)?

[Diminished Triad]

Does anyone have a recommendation for preferred electric guitar input jack (for guitar cable/quarter inch male plug)? Building a Warmoth strat kit and the guitar input jack is on the list of things I still need to order. Any preferences or strong recommendations?

It's an output jack. Strings are the "input". :22:

Switchcraft. And, I sometimes use a stereo jack. Wire both ring and sleeve to ground. It makes a tighter ground connection and you can pull the jack out one "click" to mute the output temporarily.

I guess he means you are in-putting the guitar cable into the inputting hole for putting it in.

Yep, Switchcraft #11 AKA "Little Jax". If you can get them from an electronics dealer they're usually cheaper, but you might spend the savings in shipping if you just order 1 jack and nothing else. I get mine from Antique electronics for $1.70 ea.

Guitar is AC. It flows both ways! ACK! :19:
But, I agree, generally signal comes OUT of a guitar, IN to an amp.
