Electric Humb Pickup and Acoustic??

hey guys,
I just replaced the Bridge pickup in my Epiphone with a Duncan Custom SH-5. I was thinking if its possible to use that extra Epiphone Pickup in my acoustic if I can. Basicly mount it inside and add a volume control (possibly Eq too?) and be able to plug it into my rack rig.

Also.. I checked the resistance of that Epiphone pickup, its 16k. Pretty high for a cheap pickup. No??

Re: Electric Humb Pickup and Acoustic??

You'll have to get that pickup pretty close to the strings to have it work in an acoustic guitar, and only God knows what kind of tone you will get.

The build quality and price of a pickup are not related to the DC resistance.

I got one of those "Feedback blockers" those round, rubber things you put in the soundhole, and cut out a mount for a humbucker. I mounted it in the soundhole and wired it up. I must say it's great for Jazz!
