EMGs for my Rg7620

Hey guys, I am really looking into getting a set of EMgs for my RG7620. Where can I buy them on the net? Also, will I need to make any changes to my RG to accept the EMGs? Thanks a lot guys!

I'm assuming your guitar is a 7 string. If so, the answer is yes. The EMG-707
or the EMG81-7 is rectangular in shape, so routing is nessesary. These are killer sounding pups, especially the 707. This is my personal favorite pup.
Well worth any routing that may be needed.

there's only two which turn up in shops, the EMG 707 and the EMG 81-7..

I, personally, would go 707s in both positions!

Yeah the sides of the pickup cavities will need to be routed a bit. I installed an 81-7 in my brother's 7620 and it sounds pretty sweet

I didn't like the 81-7 as much as the 707. It's not as thick as the 707. I have two 707's in my Carvin DC727 and it sounds amazing. I recently modified all my EMG equipped guitars to 18v.

I must say that the EMG-707's I have are not the same as the ones one would buy from EMG. Mine were custom built for Dino Cazares formerly from FEAR FACTORY. He wanted them to have a more edgy tone like the EMG-81, so that's what they made. A pup with the bite and output of the 81 with the thicker low end of the 85.
The standard 707's sound very similar to mine and sound better than the
81-7 IMO.

You can grab them on eBay, I haven't seen them for purchase anywhere else. Pickups and isntallation job shouldnt cost more than 250 alltogether.

Yeah, your clips DSS are what really turned me onto throwing some EMGs in. I love the clip of your peavy and your Schecter in action.
