The Peavey Sheffield 1200’s were also supposed to be a higher powered aged greenback, specifically the ones in evh’s beaten up 1960A. They tend to be very hit or miss with most people, you either like them or you don’t. I actually prefer my 5150 cab to my v30 loaded cabs.
I think the biggest issue you find is that greenback means more than one thing, there’s often two different models people are referring to when they say greenback. The other is that anytime you change something, in this case to increase power handling, you have to change the design somewhat, so you may be hard pressed to find an exact higher powered equivalent, and part of its desired quality is likely due to its lower power rating. Also most of what you will find is that most companies like eminence aren’t trying to 100% clone the sound of them, they are more or less trying to offer a product that more of an updated version, by building off of the qualities they think people might find desireable, but get rid of the shortcomings.
