Hey guys,
I've been experimenting recording from my Marshall amp via the emulated line out into my Boss Micro BR.
Anyways, I've noticed that the line out volume is controlled by the channel volume, not the master volume. Also, I've noticed that the emulated line out seems to bypass my tone control settings on my amp. The result when I play back my recording is kinda muddy and bass heavy. There is no treble. Its mostly low end and mid-range tones. Adjusting or boosting the treble on the front panel doesn't seem to change anything on my recording. The sound thru the amp sounds normal - great if you ask me.
Is this normal? Is there a way I can boost or EQ the signal going into my recorder?
What if I put my Boss GE7 eq in the path between my Marshall and Boss recorder? Will that damage anything?
Sorry for the mess of questions, I'm kinda new at recording.
Any other tips would be appreciated.
