Enclosed output jack lug confusion

Okay I apologize for such a bonehead noob question. I purchased this output jack on Amazon

I've been googling around for the last 45 mins trying to figure out how to wire this thing. I'm just using it in a standard mono setup. I assume the lug in the upper right of the picture is the ground because the metal appears to connect to the threaded case of the jack. the other two lugs are distinguished by one being short and the other being a tiny bit longer. Which one is the "tip" lead?

Re: Enclosed output jack lug confusion

seems like you got yourself a stereo jack sir. do you have a meter?

Re: Enclosed output jack lug confusion

got a stereo cable? if not you can use a mono 1/4" to see what is tip and sleeve

Re: Enclosed output jack lug confusion

Usually the shortest lug is the "tip", the next longer lug is the "ring", and the longest (as you already know) is the sleeve/ground.
