Engl 620 Tube Preamp

Yo! New gear, new clip. It's the Engl 620 Tube Preamp, into a Carvin TS100, into my 5150 4x12 w/ Vintage 30's. The guitar is a MIM Stratocaster (Deluxe Series, FR, HSS, big headstock) with an SH-6 in the bridge. Apparently I didn't spend enough time tweaking, so the guitar tone may be a bit dark in some speakers.

GREAT TONE!! That is serious, tone. You're right, a bit bassy, but that's because mines boosted!

Yeah it's a bit dark, but cool tone none the less. Does remind me a bit of Megadeth in parts which is deffinately a good thing :headbang:

Big strat headstock = the best.

Yes indeedy! I swore I'd never have another strat, but this one turned my crank a little when I saw it. Metallic grey, black pickguard, floyd, big ole headstock...sold!

I like the preamp tone... Somehow it's similar to my Engl Thunder 50...
